The main point we are trying to make is that not every belief can be correct. One or none may hold the truth. On the other hand, certain beliefs may be correct or even a combination of beliefs could hold the truth. Touching on your other thought, if their is not a God there would be no point in living. I would have to strongly disagree. In fact, if we knew there was no God it would change the way many people live. It would give a definitive beginning and end to our lives. We would know that we had a finite time to live our lives. I bet more people would live it up and not waste a second and more people would do what they wanted with their lives instead of doing what they must. Science is trying to make sense of these things, as is, all the religion's of the world.
