Why not??? … especially for medical purposes! How could anyone argue the use of marijuana for relief of pain for the terminally ill?
What’s the real reason marijuana is not legal? Could it be because pharmaceutical companies (who are a huge lobby in Washington) can’t reap the benefits? Alcohol is a more dangerous substance than marijuana. It’s time to lift the stigma against marijuana and legalize a substance that is being used behind closed doors just like alcohol once was!!!

Although I don’t have any real problem with legalizing marijuana, legalizing is not as simple as it sounds. For one thing, we would need to have clear legal definitions around what constitutes intoxication levels. For example, measuring blood alcohol levels is an established practice with clear legal limits. What would be the comparable measure for marijuana? After all, if people are using an hallucinogenic drug, the likelihood of driving an automobile in an impaired condition is quite high. If there is no legal way of measuring this, then how could anybody ever be prosecuted for driving while impaired?
I do agree there needs to be a test to check levels. Do we know for sure if it exists or not? I think they test levels using hair or a pee test
maybe there is a simple test for odor? You can "smell" if someone is smoking.
The best thing in this case is to come up with a plan, execute it, and then tackle problems and holes in the legislation when they arise!
Right now people are driving around stoned anyway. Question is what are we doing about marijuana abuse today? Just like in the other article this week on personal responsibility… At what point are current topics of debate the responsibility of the people… No matter what happens there will always be those that will complain or find something to argue about.
Some people morally classify marijuana as a wrong doing, an unethical participation in an irrational behavior; that the inhalation of any forigien substance is a bizziare determination. Yet, air itself is filled with deadly toxins that evryone is taught to acknowledge, that everyone contributes to because of our modern marvels, but how many of these prospectful human beings with so much inspiring growth and determination to move forward and forget the past strive to save the planet? If anyone feels like pure oxygen is a terrble thing, please, stand up. Morons, is has the same lightheaded effect. To Those who say that God is against it: i have a great relationship with my God and i first realized what i needed to do to get close to him while under the influence of the “satanic creation”. Hell, the first historical usage of the drug was during religious ceremonies or used by nobles who were considered to be sent by God to lead.
If it’s the worst thing ever… Then…. Micheal Phelps did not win medals in the olympics, and certainly not the most ever.

Light headed- so will a ciggarette, or standing up too fast
Thirsty- so do saltine crackers, chump
Hungry- just like when want breakfast, lunch or dinner, or if you’re fat
Really enjoy colors and sounds- so does being 5yrs old
Sleepy- just like being in a highschool or college lecture class
Happy/tingly inside- like when you have your first crush and you dont know if they “like-like” you, like you “like-like” them, but it doesn’t matter because you made him/her laugh
What is doesn’t do is make people want to go get in a fight. Or rob a house. Or plan a murder. Or hit their girlfriend. Or abondon a pet. Or hurt a child. Or harrass parents. Or backstab friends. No, it’s known as “happy, hungry, sleepy”. So while the drunk guy, or the guy doing “hard drugs” hinks he is better looking, stronger, and wants to kck my ass, I just want you give out hugs, share my cookies and take a nap- sounds like a aggression huh? Terrible things, those wretched deeds does a stoner prevail to exude.

Make it legal. Alcohol is 10x more dangerous and deadly. Alcohol is also more addictive. Why Is marijuana not legal? Drug companies are holding it back.
